Statement Addressed to Public Opinion and International Human Rights Organizations

The lives of those detained during recent protests by the Iranian people against the Islamic Republic of Iran are in grave danger. The regime’s insatiable thirst for the blood of Iran’s risen people demands yet more victims.

In continuation of the crackdown and crimes committed by the repressive institutions of the Islamic Republic of Iran against the civil uprising of the Iranian people and the nations of this country, the lives of tens of thousands of detainees are at risk. Based on available information, the Islamic Republic’s judiciary intends to carry out a systematic massacre among them in the coming days.

What currently concerns the public, activists, and human rights organizations is not merely street-level repression, but rather a comprehensive plan of oppression and crime. In an attempt to intimidate society and compensate for its various failures and crises, the regime intends to massacre the detainees.

We hereby declare to all international institutions, human rights organizations, and freedom-loving nations: silence in the face of these crimes will give free rein to the Islamic Republic of Iran’s apparatus of repression. To ensure its survival and maintain its rule of absolute oppression and crime, this repressive system is prepared to sacrifice all the peoples of Iran. It is imperative that international pressure on the regime be intensified, that an independent fact-finding committee be established to monitor the situation of the detainees, and that there be no silence in the face of this scale of human rights violations.
